Sacramento Sting

The girls played in Tracy over the weekend.  Started with a win over Linden in the morning.  After a long break, they came up against the Tracy Storm Saturday evening.  Tracy came out on top of that game.  Sunday they played Stockton Mustangs for 3rd place but again, came up short.
The team played hard in all games but the shots weren't falling with Storm and Mustangs.  They never gave up and did their best, the most we can ask for!

Big time Thanks goes out to Donni and Ally for helping the 7th graders in the tournament.  Both players were selected All Tourney from the Tournament Director.  Great Job Ladies!  Thanks!

The team started strong with a 29-19 win over Rocklin Thunderstorm to start the day, holding Rocklin to just 8 pints in the last half.
Game 2 against Mission Rec "White", the team continued to show excellent defense with everyone in the books with rebounds and steals.
In the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME against Solano Select the team continued to play excellent defense keeping Solano close.  With a score of 28-20 at the end of the 3rd the team only gave up 4 points to Solano while scoring 16 with clutch 3 point shots and free throws.
The team continues to impress parents, family and friends with their teamwork and sportsmanship.  GREAT JOB LADIES!!!
 

The girls started out like champs and played very well against a newly formed Rocklin team then came up against some very tough competition with Fairfield and Oakland.  Both Fairfield and Oakland dominated the games.
Against Oakland, only 3 players scored making it hard to keep up the pace.  Olivia made 6 of 8 freethrows - GREAT JOB!
The team played hard and gave it their all.  This was a good experience and will give them something to shoot for!  Lookout next time!

The girls played 3 games on 10/18/08 and pulled out wins for all three.  They played hard and had some great defense!  (thanks to those weekends in Stockton).

 6th/7th grade team combined to play in Stockton at Delta College today.
They played 2 games:
1st game at 8:00 vs Stockton Mustangs with a loss - 36/31
Highlights:
Teila #20 - 10 points
Jen #15 - 8 points
2nd game 9:15 vs Showtime JV
L34-49 but held Showtime to 0 points last 1/2 of 2nd quarter through most of 3rd quarter.  Great defense!

#12 - 7 point

Tournament in Rocklin the 6th grade team took 4th place.  The team had 1 game on Saturday and came up against a tough defending team, Palo Alto Midnight.
Ending score - 41-22
The morning started with the 6th graders playing the 7th graders because the team the 7th graders were susposed to play didn't show up.  The team that won gets to run practice for 30 minutes and have the lossing team do 'WHATEVER THEY WANT'.
The 6th graders are happy they won!  Good games ladies!

6th grade team took 2nd place in Orange County over Memorial Weekend.  What a great showing for being in this tournament for the 1st time. The girls really hustled and did their best.

The 6th grade team did a FANTASTIC job this weekend!  Played with their heart and showed alot of passion.

They won both games on Saturday and played for the Championship Sunday.  They came away with 2nd place and should be very proud of that.  Great effort out there from the whole team!
