Along with a few 6th graders and a 5th grader, the team went to Portland and played 5 games, winning 3. Thanks to the younger players that helped the team be able to go to Portland, which was a great experience for them, both on and off the court.

Starting the day with 6 players proved this team came to play! They took the 1st game against Davis. Then got some relief when Aliyah showed up to help the team with the next 2 games. They pulled out an easy win over Santa Rosa 40-20, then playing in the Championship game against NBA from Reno. The team kept it close all game going to the wire with a ten in Regulation - 35-35. The team played hard but couldn't come up with the winning basket. They had 8 3 point shots in the game, thanks to Jennifer (2), Kayley (3) and Olivia (3).
The team played great this weekend even though they were down players. Everyone scored and helped the team. Great job ladies!

The 8th grade team drove to Reno to play in the JamOnIt tournament at the Reno Conv. Ctr. They played 2 games on Saturday taking both. Sunday was win or go home. The team didn't want to leave until the final game and that they did. Playing 3 games on Sunday and giving each game their all, the team took 2 and fell short in the Championship game, having come up against their strongest compitition.
The team has come far and are proving to be contenders in upcoming tournaments.

Starting the day playing the toughest game of the tournament proved the 8th grade team came to win it all, winning in OT against a tough competitor - Stockton Mavericks. The Mavs tied the score with seconds to go in regulation. The team stayed strong and won by 3.
"This is the best game this team has played in 2 years" says Darrell.
The next game the team stayed strong and kept their momentum going, winning by 29 points.
Sunday they met Strickly Hoops and started a little rocky. After a couple time outs, the team pulled together and decided they really wanted the championship. With 3:45 left in the game, the score was tied. The ladies rallied and scored 6 more points than Strickly Hoops.

Another tough learning experience for the team. The team played 4 games on Saturday and ended with 2 wins and 2 losses. (The losses were only by a few points). We have some strong players that work well together.
With focus and determination, the team will dominate the courts. Lets work hard and together and see how tough we can be!

Spring has arrived and the team started with a tournament in Stockton. After a tough loss against Stockton Mustangs, the team bounced back with a win to finish the day Saturday. They started again Sunday with 2 wins as they played back 2 back games.
After a rough start, the team is beginning to come together and with more practice, they should be a tough competiter this season!
GOOD LUCK LADIES!
