Wow.....what a trip! After playing so well in Oregon, Varsity traveled to Seattle (University of Washington) and played in the TOP DIVISION against teams from Hawaii, British Columbia, New Mexico, Washington and more. We went 5 wins and 2 losses (and 1 of the games was a 1 point loss to Hawaii with a questionable "no-call" as time expired) and captured 6th place again. The scouts and coaches were impressed with all of our players and talked about our defense and "team play" almost every time we chatted. WAY TO GO STING....AGAIN!!!!!! WE ARE SO PROUD!!!!!
That's Right Folks!!! The Varsity team went 4 wins/1 loss (by only 6 points) at the "End of the Oregon Trail" NCAA Showcase tournament, defeating teams from Mission Rec, Oregon City, Way to Win and JBS by an average of more than 20 points per game!!! We have been contacted by MANY COLLEGE SCOUTS and COACHES regarding several of our players. The trip has been a HUGE success for our girls and the entire Sting Program and now....we start the NCAA Showcase at University of Washington on Saturday where we will compete in the top division against some of the best teams in the nation. WISH US LUCK!!!! Thanks for all the support and we will see you soon!
